21 Days of Fasting & Prayer

As we step into a new year, we’re so excited to go Deeper. Deeper in prayer. Deeper in surrender. Deeper in our relationship with God.

We’ve been counting down the days and it’s finally here! Starting tomorrow, January 11th, through February 1st, we’re excited to journey together through 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting, setting the tone for the year by seeking God first and creating space for Him to move.

Prayer

Pray – Prayer is our first response, not our last resort.

Follow – We will collectively engage in prayer via our YouTube channel @BelieveLA. The prayer and encouragement will be led by one of our pastors and dream team daily to align us toward a common goal as a church. Our goal is to stand in solidarity to see God’s purpose for Believe LA come to pass individually and collectively.

Grow – It’s our hope that your prayer life becomes more natural, effective, and enjoyable.

Prayer Schedule

Prayer will happen daily and in community throughout the 21 days:

  • Live Prayer on YouTube
    • Monday–Friday at 6:00 AM Saturdays at 9:00 AM
    • Subscribe to our YouTube channel to pray with us live each morning.
  • In-Person Prayer
    • Thursday mornings at 6:00 AM at Believe Church LA
    • Sundays during our regular church services

Wherever you are, there’s a way to join in and stay connected.

Fasting

Fasting helps us remove distractions so we can focus more fully on God. Whether you’re fasting from certain foods, habits, or rhythms, this is an intentional time to realign your heart and deepen your dependence on Him.

Fasting Guide

Selective Fast – This type of fast involves removing certain elements from your diet. One example of a selective fast is the Daniel Fast, during which you remove meat, sweets, and bread from your diet and consume water and juice for fluids and fruits and vegetables for food.

Partial Fast – This fast involves abstaining from eating any type of food in the morning and afternoon. This can either correlate to specific times of the day, such as 6:00 am to 3:00 pm, or from sunup to sundown.

Complete Fast – In this type of fast, you drink only liquids: proteins, or typically water with light juices as an option.

Soul Fast – This fast is a great option if you do not have much experience fasting food, have health issues that prevent you from fasting food, or if you wish to refocus certain areas of your life that are out of balance. For example, you might choose to stop using social media or watching television for the duration of the fast and then carefully bring that element back into your life in healthy doses at the conclusion of the fast.
